Language Lessons Book 2 - Psalm 1, Psalm 8, Psalm 23, Psalm 67, Psalm 91, Psalm 103, & Psalm 121Learn language arts and have fun, with these challenging grammar puzzles, Bible based copywork, poetry to use for spelling study, and creative writing exercises based on science, social studies, etc. Each month there is a poem that is used to teach spelling words. Use the Color Coding Chart for Letter Couples, to color the letter couples in the poem. The lines of the poem can be copied in a notebook, if desired. The student is encouraged to look at the word, then close their eyes and picture it in their mind, as recommended by Charlotte Mason. Then the teacher each week gives a spelling test, on the part of the poem studied that week. Note: You can do daily spelling tests instead of weekly, if preferred. Study a line or so each day.Also each month there is two creative writing assignments. The one is a writing assignment based on a picture study. The other is an assignment based on a science, a social studies topic, etc. Use books or the internet for research.To round out the study there is weekly Bible verse(s). These Bible verses are the basis of the Bible grammar puzzles. The family or class together fills in a Bible grammar puzzle to the best of their ability, you can look at the worked grammar puzzles as needed, thereby learning the relationships, and types of words.There is also lines where the student can write the verses. This gives practice in penmanship and spelling. Read more
